Carolyn Dickson, Founder
In 1984, Carolyn Dickson, founder and chairman of VoicePro®, combined the top training techniques of theater, music, dance, professional athletics, and the martial arts into a powerful business tool. Since then, clients have benefited from her unique methods and become, in the process, great speakers and influential leaders.
A former actress and classical singer, Carolyn is equally at home in the theater, on the concert stage, in the corporate boardroom, and on the plant floor. Combining her psychology degree, consulting experiences, and exceptional coaching ability, she is uniquely qualified to instruct clients in the art of communication, and VoicePro's programs bear testimony to her artistic influence.
Carolyn's civic activities include the Great Lakes Theater Festival (where she is currently president of the Board of Directors), The Greater Cleveland Growth Association (Board of Directors), Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) (Board of Directors and Executive Committee), Cleveland Better Business Bureau (Board of Directors), Chairman of the Ohio SBDC Advisory Council, and the Leadership Cleveland Class of 1989. In 1998, the National Association of Women Business Owners named her one of the ten top women entrepreneurs in Ohio. In 1999 and 2000, VoicePro® was named a Weatherhead 100 Company.
Carolyn has authored numerous articles on the subjects of speaking and interpersonal communication. She is the author of the critically acclaimed book, Speaking Magic: Performance Strategies for Winning Your Business Audience, Oakhill Press, 1995.
